Hey Spurs!
Here’s our Club Update!
PRINT OUT THE RECORD BOOK AND BRING IT TO THE MEETING ON TUESDAY!!
New 2025 Colorado Horse Record Book – The office will not print these for us as they feel it is each individual family’s responsibility. If you do not have access to a printer the office will assist.

Upcoming Jeffco 4-H Shows
Members collect points for every Jeffco 4-H show they attend and enter into classes. These points are tallied throughout the season for End of Year High Points. Please read the showbills for classes that count towards EOY points.
There are several Jeffco 4-H shows coming up and you can find the entire schedule, showbills and registration links Here (bookmark this link): https://sites.google.com/view/jeffco4hhorseshows/home
McKeever Arena in Conifer is a GORGEOUS setting and a great break from the blistering heat of shows down in town. I highly recommend attending at least one.

Opportunities for Growth – Focus on Your Ride
There are so many great chances for members to gain experience—clinics, shows, and every moment spent with your horse. Anytime you’re touching your saddle or working with your horse is valuable practice for county and state fair!
Remember: your biggest competition—and really, your onlycompetition—is yourself. Every time you enter that show ring, your one and only goal should be to improve from the last time. You can’t control what happens with other riders or their horses.
Do they have fancier horses? Good for them!
Do they practice more? Great for them!
Is their outfit more sparkly? Who cares!
Focus on your own “rodeo” and see how far it can take you.
Jeffco still has work to do to become competitive with other counties across the state—but we are a team and need to be rooting for each other and supporting everyone’s efforts. Equitation is a sport, and the riders and horses are athletes. You get out what you put in, and your horse relies on the effort and time you bring. Let’s ride with purpose and pride!
That's all for now!! See everyone Tuesday!
